Organic Sencha 88th Night
Hachiju-hachiya is the 88th day after Risshun, a setting-in of spring, and is around May 2nd.
Traditionally, it’s said that the tea harvested on Hachiju-hachiya is the best.
This tea is made from only the first flush leaves harvested on Hachiju-hachiya, and has an excellent balance of umami, sweetness and pleasant astringent taste with refreshing after-note.
Brewing Tips
Amount of Tealeaves: 5g
Water Temperature: 70-80C (158-176F)
Amount of Water: 100ml (3.4oz)
Steep: 2-3 minutes
Add more tealeaves to suit your taste.
