Kagoshima Sencha Ume – Organic Green Tea
This tea is grown in beautiful mountain in Chiran-cho of Kagoshima prefecture and certified by KOAA (Kagoshima Organic Agriculture Association) in accordance with JAS (Japanese Agricultural Standard).
This organic tea is produced from 100% first flush leaves of Yubukita, a variety of tea plant, which are harvested in late April.
1st. brew: produces clear yellow color, so refreshing and grassy sweet with subtle umami.
2nd. brew: produces light yellow-green color, good balance of sweetness, umami and astringency.
Amount of Tealeaves: 5g
Water Temperature: 60-70C (140-158F)
Amount of Water: 210ml (7oz)
Steep: 2-3 minutes
Add more tealeaves to suit your taste.
