Sencha Tea

Sencha Tea

Sencha tea is the green tea most commonly drunk in Japan. The grades are numerous. After the leaves are plucked, they are steamed, shaped, and dried. The steaming process is very important to prevent the oxidation of polyphenols. If you say green tea (Ryokucha), it virtually means Sencha in Japan.
We offer a wide variety of Sencha, from lightly steamed to deep steamed tea, lightly roasted to strong roasted tea, tea made from a single cultivar, and blended tea. Our Sencha tea comes from dedicated and award-winning producers, and all of them are made from the first flush tea leaves, which is one of the important elements for high-quality green tea. Check out our Sencha selection from all over Japan.
