"I have tried so many different brands of green tea and I must say that your Gyokuro is the best! It is so light and refreshing and not bitter at all. Furthermore it provides many health benefits as it is particularly rich in antioxidants. I highly recommend this green tea. "

"Shincha" is the first harvest of the season.
The first harvest of the season is one of the most exciting events for the green tea lovers.
Among the first harvest, only first picked leaves are used for Shincha. This tea is not only high in nutrition but also has an unique invigorating scent that can be enjoyed only from spring until early summer.
There is a folk song called Hachi-Juu-Hachi-Ya, which means the 88th nights. This song phrases the blessings of nature and tea of new crop.
Traditionally, it is said that the tea harvested on eighty-eighth day from "Risshun", a setting-in of spring, is the best and brings good luck.
In this year, May 2nd. is the 88th nights and many events will be held
at tea gardens.
Shincha has a extremely crisp taste and natural sweet aroma. This delicate aroma will be vaporized within one or two month after picking leaves.
After this period of time, it no longer considered to be the Shincha, a new crop. Because its unique aroma has already gone.
Sometimes, there is a shop that offers Shincha in Autumn or Winter season. It is impossible to maintain Shincha's unique flavor for such a long period of time.
We offer Shincha only for a limited time of period in order to provide you a real fresh Shincha.
