"I have tried so many different brands of green tea and I must say that your Gyokuro is the best! It is so light and refreshing and not bitter at all. Furthermore it provides many health benefits as it is particularly rich in antioxidants. I highly recommend this green tea. "

The production share of Yame is less than 3% of the market of green tea in Japan. But concerning the Gyokuro, the market share of Yame is over 50%.

Green Tea from Shizuoka
production process of shizuoka green tea young leaves of shizuoka green tea production process of shizuoka green tea production process of shizuoka green tea
"Fukamushi Sencha", produced with experience and fine craftsmanship uses high-quality tea leaves as an ingredient that we procure by binding a cultivation contract with practical farmers in Haibara-cho, Shizuoka, giving them detailed instructions from soil enrichment to the picking of the tea leaves. Picked tea leaves will be manufactured into drinkable tea by a deep-steaming method that is the best way to bring out excellent taste.
We won the Governor's Prizes several times in the "Shizuoka Finishing Tea Fair" and "Tea Tasting Technique Competition." We finish our tea with great care, and particularly emphasize on the initial firing that greatly affects the aroma. Depending on the nature of the tea, we use one of three kinds of machines: a traditional "Yokoyama-style batch-wise firing machine" which we have been using for over 30 years since our grandfather's time, a "steam-sending-air-permeable type dryer," drying tea with a flavor inherent to tea, and the latest "microwave far-infrared radiation firing machine."
Please enjoy the harmonious delicious tea that combines the richness inherent to deep-steamed tea, the sweet and astringent tastes.
