Description:
A set of 5pieces of teacups. The beauty is felt in an imperfect form with a flow of a delicate shade of white glaze, shipped with an artist signed box, and is in perfect condition. The tone within the color of the texture changes with use over time. Part of the reason is that the clay used for hagi ware is penetrative and it allows the tea soak into crackles and leave residues. This is called "nana-bake" and one of a charm of the hagiyaki that has been prized by tea masters. The more one use, the more it deepen its austere refinement. Each set is unique. Thus shape and glaze may vary slightly from image shown. Sold in a set as shown.
