Tanaka Kohei - Hazuki kiln
Full-fledged member of the Japanese Traditional Art Crafts Association.
Member of the Hagi Association of Ceramic Artists

The cteno-incised ornament, called "retsujoumon" requires proficient skills. Mr. Tanaka is a master of this technique, and only a few person have these skills among Hagi potters.

Mr. Tanaka's works were picked up by the book titled "contemporary ceramic art in Japan, ceramic art vol.1" published by art box international co.,ltd., which introduces 130 ceramic artists who represent contemporary ceramic art in Japan.

1952 Born in Ehime Prefecture.
1990 Accepted for the Issuikai Ceramic Art Exhibition. (since then, accepted for 13 times.)
1993 Accepted for the Japan Ceramic Art Exhibition. (since then, accepted for 5 times.)
1995 Awarded Issuikai Prize.
1996 Accepted for the exhibition of the Japanese Traditional Art Crafts.(since then, accepted for 6 times.)
